Aftermath of Karṇa’s Fall: Śalya’s Address to Duryodhana
राधेयमेतं यदि नाद्य शक्त- श्वरन्तमुग्रं प्रतिबाधनाय
rādheyam etaṃ yadi nādya śakta-śvarantam ugraṃ pratibādhanāya
Sañjaya nói: “Nếu hôm nay ngươi không thể ngăn chặn Rādheya hung mãnh này—đang gầm vang sức lực—để kìm giữ hắn lại…”

The verse underscores the ethical urgency of timely restraint in war: when a formidable warrior becomes unstoppable, failure to check him “today” can lead to wider destruction. It highlights prudence and responsibility in confronting escalating violence.
Sañjaya, narrating the battlefield to Dhṛtarāṣṭra, points to Karna (Rādheya) as a fierce, loudly roaring force. He frames the moment as critical: if Karna cannot be restrained now, the consequences for the battle will be severe.
