अध्याय ६० — कर्णस्य पाञ्चाल-सोमक-निग्रहः
Karna’s Suppression of the Panchala–Somaka Forces
युधामन्यु: कृप॑ विद्ध्वा धनुरस्याशु चिच्छिदे । अथान्यद् धनुरादाय कृप: शस्त्रभृतां वर:
yudhāmanyuḥ kṛpaṁ viddhvā dhanur asyāśu cicchide | athānyad dhanur ādāya kṛpaḥ śastrabhṛtāṁ varaḥ |
Sañjaya nói: Yudhāmanyu bắn trúng Kṛpa rồi lập tức chém đứt cung của ông. Khi ấy Kṛpa—bậc nhất trong hàng người mang vũ khí—liền cầm lấy một cây cung khác. Trong cuộc giằng co tiếp theo, ông quật ngã cờ hiệu, người đánh xe và lọng vương giả của Yudhāmanyu; và Yudhāmanyu, một đại chiến xa, đã bỏ chạy khỏi nơi ấy bằng chính chiến xa của mình.
