Karna’s Suppression of the Panchala–Somaka Forces
अथास्य वाहांस्त्वरित: शरैरनिन्ये यमक्षयम् । ततो<वप्लुत्य सहसा शकुनिर्भरतर्षभ
athāsya vāhāṁs tvaritaḥ śarair aninye yamakṣayam | tato 'vaplutyā sahasā śakunir bharatarṣabha ||
Sañjaya nói: Rồi bằng những mũi tên thần tốc, ông mau chóng tiễn ngựa của đối phương về cõi bất hoại của Yama (tức là cái chết). Bấy giờ Shakuni lập tức nhảy xuống, hỡi bậc trượng phu trong dòng Bharata, để tự cứu mình giữa sức ép của chiến trận—một hình ảnh về đà tiến tàn nhẫn của chiến tranh, nơi kỹ nghệ và sinh tồn thường lấn át mọi do dự cao cả.
