दशभिर्दशभिश्नैको नाराचैर्निहतो गज: । न चासौ धार्तराष्ट्राणां श्रूयते निनदस्तथा

Transliteration

daśabhir daśabhiś caiko nārācair nihato gajaḥ | na cāsau dhārtarāṣṭrāṇāṃ śrūyate ninadas tathā ||

Translation

Sañjaya nói: Với mười và mười mũi tên nārāca sắc nhọn, một chiến sĩ đã hạ gục một con voi. Thế nhưng giữa hàng ngũ Dhārtarāṣṭra lại chẳng vang lên tiếng hò reo tương xứng—không một tiếng gầm đáp lại, không một lời hiệu triệu can đảm nào nổi dậy trước kỳ công ấy.
