रुधिरेणावसिक्ताज़ा गैरिकप्रस्रवा इव । यथा भ्राजन्ति स्यन्दन्त: पर्वता धातुमण्डिता:
rudhireṇāvasiktāś ca gairikaprasravā iva | yathā bhrājanti syandantāḥ parvatā dhātumaṇḍitāḥ ||
Sañjaya nói: “Bị bôi và tắm đẫm trong máu, chúng trông như những dãy núi vằn đỏ màu đất son. Vì thế, những cỗ chiến xa sáng lên—như các ngọn đồi được điểm những vân quặng—đáng sợ trong vẻ huy hoàng của mình giữa cuộc tàn sát.”
