कर्णनिधनश्रवणम् — Hearing of Karṇa’s Fall and Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Lament
भगदत्तसुतो राजन् कृतप्रज्ञो महाबल: । श्येनवच्चरता संख्ये नकुलेन निपातित:
bhagadattasuto rājan kṛtaprajño mahābalaḥ | śyenavaccaratā saṅkhye nakulena nipātitaḥ ||
Sañjaya nói: Muôn tâu Đại vương, con trai của Bhagadatta—tâm trí vững vàng, sức lực phi thường, lướt qua chiến địa như chim ưng—đã bị Nakula đánh gục. Lời tường thuật nhấn mạnh rằng ngay cả những chiến binh đáng sợ, dù tinh thông và điềm tĩnh, cũng không thoát khỏi luật nghiệt ngã của chiến tranh và số mệnh; đó là lời nhắc về cái giá nặng nề của xung đột do adharma dẫn dắt.
