स संनिपातस्तुमुलो घोररूपो विशाम्पते | आसीदू रौद्रो महाराज कर्णपाण्डवयोर्मुधे
sa sannipātas tumulo ghorarūpo viśāmpate | āsīd raundro mahārāja karṇa-pāṇḍavayor mudhe ||
Sañjaya nói: “Hỡi chúa tể của muôn dân, hỡi đại vương! Trên chiến địa ấy, cuộc giao tranh giữa Karṇa và các Pāṇḍava trở nên ầm ầm dữ dội, đáng sợ vô cùng, mang dáng vẻ hung bạo và cuồng nộ.”
