Karṇa’s Bhārgavāstra and the Search for Yudhiṣṭhira
Chapter 45
Even amid violence, leadership is measured by disciplined allocation of responsibility: Yudhiṣṭhira frames combat as duty (kṣatriya-dharma) and seeks proportional, orderly engagement rather than reckless fighting.
Yudhiṣṭhira directs matchups among key warriors: one fighter is told to confront Karṇa (Rādheya), Bhīma is assigned to Duryodhana (Suyodhana), Nakula to Vṛṣasena, and Sahadeva to Śakuni (Saubala), indicating tactical planning within the battle.
