पश्यार्जुन महाव्यूहं कर्णेन विहितं रणे । युक्त पक्षै: प्रपक्षेश्ष परानीकं प्रकाशते
paśyārjuna mahāvyūhaṃ karṇena vihitaṃ raṇe | yukta-pakṣaiḥ prapakṣaiś ca parānīkaṃ prakāśate ||
Sañjaya nói: “Hãy nhìn đi, hỡi Arjuna, trận thế lớn do Karṇa bày ra trên chiến địa. Đạo quân địch, được sắp đặt thành cánh và phản cánh, đang hiện ra trong thế trận đáng gờm biết bao!”
