Karṇa’s Pressure on the Pāñcālas; Duryodhana Disabled; Arjuna’s Counter-Advance
कियत् तत् तत् प्रवक्ष्यामि येन येन धनंजय: । त्वत्तो5तिरिक्तः सर्वेभ्यो भूतेभ्यो ब्राह्मणो यथा
kiyat tat tat pravakṣyāmi yena yena dhanañjayaḥ | tvatto 'tiriktaḥ sarvebhyo bhūtebhyo brāhmaṇo yathā ||
Ta còn có thể kể đến bao nhiêu nữa, khi cứ đếm đi đếm lại những phẩm chất khiến Dhanañjaya (Arjuna) vượt trội hơn ngươi? Như brāhmaṇa được xem là bậc đứng đầu trong muôn loài, thì Arjuna cũng hơn ngươi như thế. Lời nói nhằm hạ bớt kiêu mạn và khẳng định trật tự dựa trên sự xuất sắc đã được thừa nhận, chứ không phải trên sự tự phụ nơi chiến trận.
