Karṇa’s Pressure on the Pāñcālas; Duryodhana Disabled; Arjuna’s Counter-Advance
कुर्वाणा विविधान् रावानाशंसन्तो जयं तथा । वे दो-दो घड़ीपर बारंबार उड़-उड़कर कहते--'देखो
kurvāṇā vividhān rāvān āśaṃsanto jayaṃ tathā |
Bầy quạ cất lên đủ thứ tiếng kêu chát chúa, hết lần này đến lần khác rêu rao chiến thắng cho phe mình. Chúng bay lên bay xuống liên hồi, chế giễu: “Nhìn kìa—cú bay của con quạ này, cú bay của con quạ kia!” Nói vậy, chúng nhạo báng bầy thiên nga và buông lời cay độc. Đồng thời, chúng còn chúc tụng điềm lành cho thắng lợi của loài quạ, líu lo bằng nhiều giọng điệu, lao vút từ cành cây xuống mặt đất rồi từ mặt đất vọt lên cành—bồn chồn, ồn ào, quyết làm nhục kẻ cao quý.
