शिक्षाप्रमादश्न बल॑ धृतिश्न द्रोणे महास्त्राणि च संनतिश्न । स चेदगान्मृत्युवशं महात्मा सव्वनिन्यानातुरानद्य मन्ये

Transliteration

sañjaya uvāca | śikṣāpramādaś ca balaṃ dhṛtiś ca droṇe mahāstrāṇi ca saṃnatiś ca | sa ced agān mṛtyuvaśaṃ mahātmā sarvān nṛṇām āturān adya manye ||

Translation

Sañjaya nói: Sự rèn luyện và kỷ luật, sự cảnh giác, sức mạnh, lòng can đảm bền bỉ, sự tinh thông những đại binh khí, và đức khiêm cung—mọi đức hạnh ấy đều hội tụ nơi Droṇa. Nếu ngay cả bậc đại hồn Droṇa cũng đã rơi vào quyền lực của Thần Chết, thì hôm nay ta xem mọi người khác đều đã bị đánh dấu, kề cận tận số.
