कर्णेन व्यूहविधानम् — Karṇa’s Battle Formation and the Pāṇḍava Counter-Plan
Adhyāya 31
“महातेजस्वी नरेश! अब कर्णका और आपका भाग शेष रह गया है। अतः: आप कर्णके साथ रहकर शत्रुसेनाके उस भागको एक साथ ही नष्ट कर दीजिये ।।
sañjaya uvāca | mahātejasvin nareśa! adya karṇasya ca tava ca bhāgaḥ śeṣaḥ paryavasitaḥ | ataḥ tvaṁ karṇena saha tiṣṭhan śatrusenāyās tasya bhāgasyaikata eva nāśaṁ kuru || aruṇena yathā sārdhaṁ tamaḥ sūryo vyapohati | tathā karṇena sahito jahi pārtha mahāhave ||
Sañjaya nói: “Ôi đức vua rực rỡ, nay chỉ còn phần chiến cuộc thuộc về Karṇa và bệ hạ. Vậy hãy đứng cùng Karṇa mà tiêu diệt phần ấy của quân địch bằng một đòn hợp lực. Như Mặt Trời có Aruṇa kề bên xua tan bóng tối, cũng vậy, bệ hạ hãy kết cùng Karṇa mà đánh hạ Pārtha (Arjuna) trong đại chiến.”
