कृत्वा नसुकरं कर्म गतौ स्वर्गमितोडनघ । तथान्ये पुरुषव्याप्रा: परैर्विनिहता युधि

Transliteration

kṛtvā na sukaraṃ karma gatau svargam ito ’naghāḥ | tathānye puruṣavyāghrāḥ parair vinihatā yudhi ||

Translation

Sañjaya nói: “Sau khi hoàn thành những việc làm không dễ thực hiện, các dũng sĩ vô tội ấy đã rời nơi này mà lên cõi trời. Cũng như vậy, những bậc trượng phu dũng mãnh như hổ khác nữa đã bị đối phương đánh gục trong chiến trận—chiến tranh nuốt chửng cả kẻ hùng cường, và cái chết đến theo mưu kế của kẻ địch, như số phận của những cung thủ già nua kia.”
