सर्वेषां चैव सैन्यानां कर्णमेवागमन्मन: । सूतपुत्रं महेष्वासं बन्धुमात्ययिकेष्विव

sarveṣāṃ caiva sainyānāṃ karṇam evāgaman manaḥ | sūtaputraṃ maheṣvāsaṃ bandhum ātyayikeṣv iva ||

Sañjaya thưa: Tâm trí của toàn quân đều chỉ hướng về Karṇa—về người con của kẻ đánh xe, bậc đại cung thủ—như trong cơn nguy khốn tột cùng, người ta bản năng nghĩ đến một thân quyến đáng tin cậy.
