ततः प्रववृते भूय: संग्रामो राजसत्तम । कर्णस्य पाण्डवानां च यमराष्ट्रविवर्धन:,नृपश्रेष्ठ उस समय कर्णका पाण्डव-सैनिकोंके साथ जो पुनः संग्राम आरम्भ हुआ था, वह यमराजके राज्यकी श्रीवृद्धि करनेवाला था
tataḥ pravavṛte bhūyaḥ saṅgrāmo rājasattama | karṇasya pāṇḍavānāṃ ca yamarāṣṭravivardhanaḥ ||
Sañjaya nói: “Rồi, hỡi bậc vương giả tối thượng, trận chiến lại bùng lên giữa Karṇa và quân lực của các Pāṇḍava—một cuộc đụng độ chỉ làm phình to cõi quyền của Yama, bởi nó gia tăng mùa gặt của tử vong.”
