भल्ल्लैश्छिन्ना: करा: पेतु: करिणां मदवर्षिणाम् । यथा वने परशुभिनिकित्ता: सुमहाद्रुमा:
bhallaiś chinnāḥ karāḥ petuḥ kariṇāṃ madavarṣiṇām | yathā vane paraśubhir nikṛttāḥ sumahādrumāḥ ||
Sañjaya nói: Những vòi của đàn voi đang vào kỳ động dục, mủ chảy ròng ròng, bị những mũi tên bhalla sắc bén chém đứt và rơi xuống đất. Như trong rừng, những cây đại thụ bị rìu đốn rồi ầm ầm đổ sập, những chiếc vòi hùng mạnh ấy cũng bị chặt liên hồi và gục xuống mặt đất.
