वामपादे तु राजेन्द्र कृतवर्मा व्यवस्थित: । नारायणबलैयक्तो गोपालैरयुद्धदुर्मदै:,राजेन्द्र! उस मकरव्यूहके बायें पैरकी जगह नारायणी-सेनाके रणदुर्मद गोपालोंके साथ कृतवर्मा खड़ा किया गया था
vāmapāde tu rājendra kṛtavarmā vyavasthitaḥ | nārāyaṇabalaiyukto gopālair ayuddhadurmadāḥ ||
Sañjaya nói: “Tâu Đại vương, ở vị trí ‘bàn chân trái’ của trận đồ ấy, Kṛtavarmā được bố trí, có lực lượng Nārāyaṇa yểm trợ—những chiến binh chăn bò, say men kiêu hãnh của chiến trận.” Sự sắp đặt ấy cho thấy các tướng lĩnh đã cân nhắc kỹ lưỡng, đặt một đạo quân dữ dội và tận trung để giữ một sườn then chốt giữa bạo lực chiến tranh nặng gánh đạo lý.
