तथा भविष्यतीत्युक्त्वा तत्रैवान्तरधीयत । गयो ह्ाावाप्य तत् सर्व धर्मेणारीनजीजयत्,'ऐसा ही होगा” यों कहकर अग्निदेव वहीं अन्तर्धान हो गये। राजा गयने वह सब कुछ पाकर धर्मसे ही शत्रुओंपर विजय पायी
tathā bhaviṣyatīty uktvā tatraivāntardadhīyata | gayo hi prāpya tat sarvaṁ dharmeṇārīn ajījayat ||
Nói rằng: “Sẽ đúng như vậy,” vị thần liền biến mất ngay tại chỗ. Vua Gaya, đã được ban trọn những điều ấy, tiếp tục chinh phục kẻ thù bằng con đường dharma—bằng hạnh chính, chứ không bằng thủ đoạn phi nghĩa.
नारद उवाच
Even when aided by divine assurance or gifts, true and lasting victory is portrayed as arising from dharma—ethical, lawful conduct—rather than from deceit or adharma.
After affirming that events will unfold as stated (“So it shall be”), Agni vanishes. King Gaya then receives what was promised and proceeds to defeat his enemies through righteous means.
