द्रोणविक्रमदर्शनम् / The Display of Droṇa’s Onslaught and the Debate on Pāṇḍava Regrouping
त॑ द्रोण: सथनुष्कं तु साश्वयन्तारमाक्षिणोत् | स हत: प्रापतद् भूमौ रथाज्ज्योतिरिवाम्बरात्
taṁ droṇaḥ sadhanuskaṁ tu sāśvayantāram ākṣiṇot | sa hataḥ prāpatad bhūmau rathāj jyotir ivāmbarāt |
Sañjaya nói: Droṇa đã đánh gục vị vương tử ấy, cùng cả cung, ngựa và người đánh xe, nghiền nát chàng giữa chiến địa. Bị Droṇa giết, chàng rơi từ chiến xa xuống đất như một sao băng rụng khỏi trời cao—hình ảnh khắc họa sự sụp đổ nhanh chóng, không thể vãn hồi của niềm kiêu hãnh võ tướng giữa đạo lý chiến tranh tàn khốc.
