Adhyāya 113: Karṇa–Bhīma Śaravarṣa and the Battlefield Aftermath (कर्णभीमशरवर्षः)
वारयिष्यति विक्रम्य वेलेव मकरालयम् । शत्रुओंको संताप देनेवाला धृष्टद्युम्न समरांगणमें कुपित हुए द्रोणाचार्यको पराक्रम करके रोक लेगा। ठीक वैसे ही, जैसे तटकी भूमि समुद्रको आगे बढ़नेसे रोक देती है ।।
vārayiṣyati vikramya veleva makarālayam | śatrūṇāṃ saṃtāpa-denavālaḥ dhṛṣṭadyumnaḥ samarāṅgaṇe kupitān droṇācāryān parākrameṇa rokṣyati | ṭhīk vaise hī, jaise taṭakī bhūmi samudraṃ āge baḍhane se rok detī hai || 48 || yatra sthāsyati saṃgrāme pārṣataḥ paravīrahā
Yudhiṣṭhira nói: “Với dũng lực tiến lên, Dhṛṣṭadyumna—kẻ khiến quân thù chịu nỗi nóng rát khổ đau—sẽ chặn đứng Droṇācārya đang phẫn nộ giữa chiến địa. Như đất rắn nơi bờ bãi ngăn biển không cho tràn tới, cũng vậy, ở bất cứ nơi nào Droṇa đứng vững trong trận chiến, con trai của Pṛṣata, kẻ sát hại các dũng tướng đối phương, sẽ giữ Droṇa lại.”
