Adhyāya 92: Irāvanta-śoka, punaḥ-pravṛttiḥ saṅgrāmasya
Arjuna’s grief and the battle’s renewed intensity
न शुश्रूषसि तद् वाक्यं मर्त्य: पथ्यमिवौषधम् | तदेव त्वामनुप्राप्तं वचनं साधुभाषितम्
sañjaya uvāca |
na śuśrūṣasi tad vākyaṃ martyaḥ pathyam ivauṣadham |
tad eva tvām anuprāptaṃ vacanaṃ sādhubhāṣitam |
Sañjaya nói: Bệ hạ đã không nghe lời khuyên ấy—như kẻ phàm nhân ở bờ vực cái chết thấy thuốc lành mà không sao nuốt nổi. Vì vậy, chính lời cảnh báo được nói ra thật đúng đắn ấy nay đã giáng xuống bệ hạ thành hệ quả: điều thiện ngôn bệ hạ từng khước từ, nay trở lại như số mệnh đã thành.
