अध्याय ८० — मध्यंदिन-रणवृत्तान्तः

न हि मे जीवितेनापि विद्यतेडद्य प्रयोजनम् । भीमसेन रणे हित्वा स्नेहमुत्सूज्य पाण्डवैः,'सारथे! युद्धस्थलमें भीमसेनको छोड़कर और पाण्डवोंसे स्नेह तोड़कर अब मेरे जीवनसे कोई प्रयोजन नहीं है
na hi me jīvitena api vidyate ’dya prayojanam | bhīmasena raṇe hitvā sneham utsṛjya pāṇḍavaiḥ |
Sañjaya nói: “Này người đánh xe! Hôm nay, ngay cả mạng sống của ta cũng chẳng còn ý nghĩa, nếu giữa chiến trường ta bỏ rơi Bhīmasena và đoạn tuyệt mối tình nghĩa với các Pāṇḍava.”
