कम्पनेषु च चापेषु कणपेषु च सर्वश: । क्षेपणीयेषु चित्रेषु मुष्टियुद्धेषु च क्षमम्
kampaneṣu ca cāpeṣu kaṇapeṣu ca sarvaśaḥ | kṣepaṇīyeṣu citreṣu muṣṭiyuddheṣu ca kṣamam ||
Sañjaya nói: “Họ hoàn toàn tinh thông các loại vũ khí xoay/vung, cung tên và các loại phi đạn kiểu kaṇapa; giỏi triển khai mọi thứ vũ khí ném, muôn hình muôn vẻ; và cũng hết sức thiện nghệ trong cận chiến tay không.”
संजय उवाच
The verse underscores that war is executed through disciplined expertise: warriors are trained across many weapon-systems and even unarmed combat. Ethically, this amplifies accountability—destruction in battle is not mere impulse but the outcome of cultivated capability, making the decision to wage war weightier in terms of dharma and consequence.
Sañjaya is reporting to Dhṛtarāṣṭra about the combat readiness of the forces, listing categories of weapons and skills to convey that the fighters are broadly trained and fully prepared for battle.
