भीष्मपर्व — अध्याय ७२: सैन्यगुणवर्णनम्, व्यूहरक्षा, दैव-पुरुषकारचिन्ता
ततो बलेन महता पुत्रस्तव विशाम्पते । जुगोप भीष्ममासाद्य प्रार्थयानो महद् यश:
tato balena mahatā putras tava viśāmpate | jugopa bhīṣmam āsādya prārthayāno mahad yaśaḥ ||
Sanjaya thưa: Bấy giờ, tâu chúa tể muôn dân, con trai của bệ hạ—được hậu thuẫn bởi lực lượng hùng mạnh—đến gần Bhishma và nương mình dưới sự che chở của ngài, với khát vọng giành lấy danh tiếng lớn lao.
