Educational Q&A

Rule or enjoy power with restraint and unity, and do not fall into arrogance. Disrespecting righteous, divinely supported forces (here Nara–Nārāyaṇa/Arjuna–Kṛṣṇa) leads to inevitable downfall.

Sañjaya reports a counsel framed as a warning: the addressee is urged to accept shared rule with brothers under self-control, and is cautioned that contempt toward Arjuna and Kṛṣṇa—seen as the divine pair Nara and Nārāyaṇa—will bring destruction.
