भीष्मस्य भीमसेन-निरोधः

स्थिताश्च सर्वे त्वयि भूतसंघा: कृत्वा55श्रयं त्वां वरदं सुबाहो । अनादिमध्यान्तमपारयोगं लोकस्य सेतु प्रवदन्ति विप्रा:
sthitāś ca sarve tvayi bhūtasaṅghāḥ kṛtvā śrayaṃ tvāṃ varadaṃ subāho | anādimadhyāntam apārayogaṃ lokasya setuṃ pravadanti viprāḥ ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Hỡi bậc dũng lực, mọi loài chúng sinh đều nương tựa nơi Ngài—Đấng ban ân phúc—và chỉ ở trong Ngài mà an trụ. Các bậc hiền triết tuyên xưng Ngài không có khởi đầu, không có đoạn giữa, không có chung cuộc; vượt ngoài mọi giới hạn đo lường; và là ‘cây cầu’ (setu) gìn giữ khuôn phép đạo lý của thế gian.”
