भीष्मस्य भीमसेन-निरोधः
Bhīṣma checks Bhīmasena; matched engagements intensify
पादौ तव धरा देवी दिशो बाहू दिवं शिर: । मूर्तिस्ते5हं सुरा: कायश्नन्द्रादित्यौ च चक्षुषी
pādau tava dharā devī diśo bāhū divaṁ śiraḥ | mūrtis te ’haṁ surāḥ kāyaś candrādityau ca cakṣuṣī ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Muôn tâu Đấng Tối Thượng! Nữ thần Địa (Đất Mẹ) là đôi chân của Ngài; các phương là đôi tay của Ngài; và cõi trời là đầu của Ngài. Con là hình thân hiển lộ của Ngài; chư thiên là các chi thể và phần thân của Ngài; còn Trăng và Mặt Trời là đôi mắt của Ngài.”
