भीष्मस्य भीमसेन-निरोधः
Bhīṣma checks Bhīmasena; matched engagements intensify
संजय उवाच शृणु राजन्नवहित: श्रुत्वा चैवावधारय । नैव मन्त्रकृतं किंचिन्नैव मायां तथाविधाम्
sañjaya uvāca | śṛṇu rājann avahitaḥ śrutvā caivāvadhāraya | naiva mantrakṛtaṃ kiñcin naiva māyāṃ tathāvidhām |
Sañjaya thưa: “Tâu Đại vương, xin lắng nghe cho kỹ; nghe rồi hãy tự suy xét và tự quyết. Trong các Pāṇḍava không có sức mạnh do bùa chú tạo nên, cũng không dùng thứ huyễn thuật lừa dối như vậy. Sức mạnh của họ—và những thất bại của ngài—đều do những nguyên nhân khác, chẳng phải bởi tà thuật.”
