ते वध्यमाना भीष्मेण प्रजहुस्तं महाबलम्
te vadhyamānā bhīṣmeṇa prajahus taṁ mahābalam | jighāṁsantaṁ yudhāṁ śreṣṭha tadā āsīt tumulaṁ mahat ||
Sañjaya thưa: “Tâu Đại vương, khi bị Bhīṣma đánh giết, họ đã bỏ mặc dũng sĩ lực lưỡng ấy. Và khi Bhīṣma—bậc nhất trong hàng chiến sĩ, nung nấu ý định sát phạt—dồn ép xông tới, một trận chiến lớn lao, cuồng loạn và ầm vang liền bùng nổ.”
