परस्परेण धावन्त: पतिता: पुनरुत्थिता:
sañjaya uvāca | paraspareṇa dhāvantaḥ patitāḥ punar utthitāḥ | jighāṃsantaṃ yudhāṃ śreṣṭha tadā āsīt tumulaṃ mahat ||
Sañjaya thưa: “Khi ấy, trận chiến trở nên mênh mông và náo loạn. Xông vào nhau, nhiều người ngã xuống rồi lại đứng dậy; mang ý định sát hại, họ lại lao trở vào vòng chém giết.”
