Educational Q&A

The verse highlights the clash between youthful momentum and elder mastery, suggesting that in war—and in life—raw force meets the tested discipline of experience; it also underscores the tragic necessity of performing one’s role amid a conflict where righteousness is complex.

Sañjaya narrates that Bhīma rushes forward to attack, and Bhīṣma—renowned for his prowess—moves to meet him, setting up a direct confrontation on the Kurukṣetra battlefield.
