सम्बभूवुरनीकेषु बहवो भैरवस्वना: । वर्तमाने महाभीमे तस्मिन् वीरवरक्षये,इति श्रीमहाभारते भीष्मपर्वणि भीष्मवधपर्वणि संकुलयुद्धे षट्चत्वारिंशो5ध्याय: ।।
saṃbabhūvur anīkeṣu bahavo bhairavasvanāḥ | vartamāne mahābhīme tasmin vīravarakṣaye ||
Sañjaya nói: Trong các đội hình chiến trận, nhiều tiếng gào rợn người vang lên. Khi cuộc tàn sát vô cùng khủng khiếp—sự diệt vong của những dũng tướng bậc nhất—vẫn tiếp diễn, tiếng ồn và nỗi kinh hoàng của chiến tranh dâng lên khắp bốn phía.
