अलड्कारै: कवचै: केतुभिश्न सुखप्रणादैहेंषितैर्वा हयानाम् । भ्राजिष्मती दुष्प्रतिवीक्षणीया येषां चमूस्ते विजयन्ति शत्रून्,अलंकार, कवच, ध्वजा-पताका, सुखपूर्वक किये जानेवाले सिंहनाद अथवा घोड़ोंके हिनहिनानेकी आवाजसे जिनकी सेना अत्यन्त शोभायमान होती है तथा शत्रुओंको जिनकी सेनाकी ओर देखना भी कठिन जान पड़ता है, वे अवश्य अपने विपक्षियोंपर विजय पाते हैं
alaṅkāraiḥ kavacaiḥ ketubhiś ca sukhapraṇādaiḥ heṣitaiś ca hayānām | bhrājiṣmatī duṣprativīkṣaṇīyā yeṣāṃ camūs te vijayanti śatrūn ||
Vyāsa nói: “Những ai có đạo quân rực rỡ với đồ trang sức, áo giáp và cờ xí; với tiếng hô chiến trận cát tường, đầy tự tín, cùng tiếng ngựa hí—chói lọi đến nỗi kẻ thù khó lòng dám nhìn thẳng—thì những chiến sĩ ấy ắt sẽ khuất phục đối phương.”
