Educational Q&A

The verse underscores how adharma-driven conflict is mirrored by disturbing natural portents: the world itself seems to protest. Ethically, it frames the coming battle as a grave rupture in order, warning that collective wrongdoing brings fearful consequences felt beyond human society.

Sanjaya reports to King Dhtar01636dra that terrifying omens appeared as the war was about to unfold: the earth seemed to roar and split, and thunder-like crashes resounded in all directions, heightening the sense of impending catastrophe.
