एतत् तु रोचतां वाक्य यदुक्तोडसि मयानघ । एतत् क्षेममहं मनन््ये तव चैव कुलस्यथ च,“अनघ! मैंने जो बातें तुमसे कही हैं, वे तुम्हें रचिकर प्रतीत हों। मैं संधिको ही तुम्हारे तथा कौरवकुलके लिये कल्याणकारी मानता हूँ
etat tu rocatāṃ vākyaṃ yad ukto ’si mayānagha | etat kṣemam ahaṃ manye tava caiva kulasya ca ||
Sañjaya nói: “Hỡi người vô tỳ vết, mong những lời ta đã nói với ngươi làm lòng ngươi đẹp ý. Ta xem con đường này là lối đi thật sự an toàn và lợi lạc—cho ngươi và cho toàn thể dòng tộc của ngươi.”
