भ्रात्रा प्रस्थापितो वीर: स्वेनानीकेन दंशित: । प्रययौ पुरुषव्याप्र: स्वसैन्यं स विषादयन्
bhrātrā prasthāpito vīraḥ svenānīkena daṃśitaḥ | prayayau puruṣavyāghraḥ svasainyaṃ sa viṣādayan ||
Sañjaya nói: Được anh trai thúc giục và sai đi, vị dũng sĩ ấy—bị chính đội hình của mình vây ép và dồn nén—vẫn xông lên với sức mạnh lớn. Như hổ giữa loài người, hắn lao về phía đội quân của Droṇa; và chính cuộc lao ấy khiến quân Kaurava rơi vào u sầu, bởi cảnh vị trụ cột của họ ngã xuống trên chiến địa đã làm lung lay ý chí.
