निहत्य समरे राजन्‌ शतशो5थ सहसत्रश: । न तस्यासीदनिर्भिन्न गात्रे द्वयड्गुलमन्तरम्‌

Transliteration

nihātya samare rājan śataśo ’tha sahasraśaḥ | na tasyāsīd anirbhinnā gātre dvyaṅgulam antaram mahārāja ||

Translation

Sañjaya nói: Hỡi Đại vương, trong trận chiến, Bhīṣma đã giết hàng trăm rồi đến hàng nghìn dũng sĩ. Và, thưa bệ hạ, trên thân thể ông không còn lấy một khoảng rộng hai ngón tay nào mà không bị tên xuyên thấu.
