यद्येषां न भवेद् गोप्ता विष्वक्सेनो महाबल: । “यदि महाबली भगवान् श्रीकृष्ण उन पाण्डवोंकी रक्षा न करते तो मैं इन सबको केवल एक धनुषके ही द्वारा मार सकता था
yadyeṣāṁ na bhaved goptā viśvakseno mahābalaḥ |
Sañjaya nói: “Nếu những người ấy không được vị Viśvaksena hùng mạnh—Đức Chúa Kṛṣṇa—che chở, thì ta đã có thể giết hết bọn họ chỉ bằng một cây cung.” Lời ấy cho thấy giữa cơn cuồng nộ của chiến trận, sức người được xem là hữu hạn khi đối diện sự hộ trì của thần linh và uy lực của chính nghĩa đứng về phía các Pāṇḍava.
