Sañjaya nói: Nhưng Devavrata (Bhīṣma), bậc trưởng thượng như cha của ngươi, chẳng hề bận tâm đến những mũi tên ấy; và giữa trận mạc, ông dùng chính tên mình mà chặn Arjuna đang bừng bừng phẫn nộ.

Even in a dharmic war, anger can cloud judgment; the verse highlights restraint and disciplined mastery. Bhīṣma’s act of checking Arjuna suggests that true martial excellence includes the capacity to curb destructive fury and to uphold order through controlled force.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that Bhīṣma (Devavrata), unfazed by incoming arrows, countered and halted Arjuna’s furious advance in battle by showering him with his own arrows, effectively restraining him on the field.
