यथाग्निरिन्धन प्राप्य ज्वलेद् दीप्तार्चिरुल्बणम् | तथा जज्वाल पुत्रस्ते पाण्डुसेनां विनिर्दहन्
sañjaya uvāca | yathāgnir indhanaṁ prāpya jvaled dīptārcir ulbaṇam | tathā jajvāla putras te pāṇḍu-senāṁ vinirdahan |
Sañjaya nói: “Như lửa gặp củi, bùng lên dữ dội với những lưỡi lửa rực sáng, thì con trai của bệ hạ, Duḥśāsana, cũng bốc cháy trong uy lực, thiêu đốt đạo quân Pāṇḍava. Bị mũi tên của hắn dồn ép, nhiều quản tượng cũng bỏ chạy tán loạn về bốn phía.”
