तथैवान्ये महीपाला नानादेशसमागता: । पाण्डवानभ्यवर्तन्त विविधायुधपाणय:,इसी प्रकार विभिन्न देशोंसे आये हुए अन्य भूपाल भी हाथोंमें नाना प्रकारके अस्त्र-शस्त्र लिये पाण्डवोंपर आक्रमण करने लगे
tathaivānye mahīpālā nānādeśasamāgatāḥ | pāṇḍavān abhyavartanta vividhāyudhapāṇayaḥ ||
Sanjaya nói: Cũng như thế, các vua khác—tụ hội từ nhiều miền đất—tay cầm đủ loại binh khí, tiến lên tấn công các Pandava. Thế là cuộc xung đột lan rộng vượt khỏi một mối thù riêng, thành cuộc chiến của muôn vùng, nơi các bậc quân vương vì liên minh, tham vọng và bổn phận theo cách họ hiểu mà lao vào bạo lực, thử thách trật tự của dharma ngay trên chiến địa.
