Adhyāya 90: Babhruvāhana’s Reception and the Commencement of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Aśvamedha

तस्मात्‌ सक्तून्‌ ग्रहीष्यामि वधु नाहसि वज्चनाम्‌ | गणयित्वा महाभागे त्वां हि धर्मभूतां वरे

śvaśura uvāca | tasmāt saktūn grahīṣyāmi vadhu nārhasi vañcanām | gaṇayitvā mahābhāge tvāṁ hi dharmabhūtāṁ vare ||

Cha chồng nói: “Vì vậy, hỡi con dâu, ta sẽ nhận phần sattu—bột lúa mạch rang—này. Con không đáng bị tước đoạt hay bị lừa để mất phần công đức. Hỡi người hữu phúc, khi ta kể con vào hàng những người thật sự chính trực và những phụ nữ ưu tú, ta nhất định nhận lễ vật con dâng—để công đức của con không bị tiêu mất.”

Educational Q&A
