Aśvamedha-dīkṣā, Vyāsa’s horse-release, and Arjuna’s departure with Gāṇḍīva (आश्वमेधिक-दीक्षा तथा हय-उत्सर्गः)

पृथिवीं पर्यटन्तं हि तुरगं कामचारिणम्‌ । कः पालयेदिति मुने तद्‌ भवान्‌ वक्तुमहति

pṛthivīṃ paryaṭantaṃ hi turagaṃ kāmacāriṇam | kaḥ pālayed iti mune tad bhavān vaktum arhati ||

Yudhiṣṭhira nói: “Bạch hiền giả, con ngựa này sẽ rong ruổi trên mặt đất theo ý muốn. Xin ngài cho biết—ai sẽ canh giữ nó? Và phải thả nó thế nào để nó có thể tự do đi khắp thế gian theo lộ trình của chính mình?”
