स्थैर्यमत्र कथं मे स्यात् सत्त्वं नि:संशयं कुरु । कुपितस्त्वां न हीदानीं भस्म कुर्या सबान्धवम्,परंतु इस बातका मुझे विश्वास कैसे हो कि तुम मेरा साथ दोगे। अतः जैसे भी हो, मेरे मनका संशय दूर हो; नहीं तो अभी क्रोधमें भरकर मैं बन्धु-बान्धवोंसहित तुम्हें भस्म कर डालूँगा
sthairyam atra kathaṁ me syāt sattvaṁ niḥsaṁśayaṁ kuru | kupitas tvāṁ na hīdānīṁ bhasma kuryā sabāndhavam ||
Saṁvarta nói: “Làm sao ta có thể vững lòng ở đây—làm sao ta biết chắc ý chí của ngươi? Hãy dứt sạch mọi nghi ngờ trong ta. Bởi nếu cơn giận chiếm lấy ta ngay lúc này, ta có thể thiêu ngươi thành tro, cùng với toàn thể thân tộc của ngươi.”
