Uttanka’s Guru-Śuśrūṣā and the Commission to Retrieve the Maṇikuṇḍalas (उत्तङ्क-गुरुशुश्रूषा तथा मणिकुण्डल-आदेशः)
उत्तड़कं श्लक्षणया वाचा सान्त्वयन्निदमब्रवीत् | उत्तंकके ऐसा कहनेपर महाबुद्धिमान् जनार्दनने उन्हें मधुर वाणीद्वारा सान्त्वना देते हुए कहा--
Uttaṅkaṃ ślakṣaṇayā vācā sāntvayann idam abravīt | uttaṅkake aisā kahanepara mahābuddhimān janārdanane unheṃ madhura vāṇīdvārā sāntvanā dete hue kahā—
Khi Uttanka nói như vậy, Janārdana—bậc đại trí—đã dùng lời lẽ dịu dàng, nhã nhặn để vỗ về, rồi đáp lại, ban sự an ủi nhằm làm tâm ông vững lại và đưa ông trở về với phong thái điềm tĩnh, hợp với Dharma.
उत्तडुक उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic communication: a wise person responds to agitation or harshness not with escalation but with gentle, reassuring speech that calms the other and prepares the ground for ethical instruction.
Uttaṅka has spoken (likely with distress or intensity), and Kṛṣṇa (Janārdana), described as highly intelligent, begins his reply by consoling Uttaṅka with sweet, gentle words.
