कृच्छेणैव तु तां पार्थो गोविन्दे विनिवेशिताम् । संजहार ततो दृष्टिं कृष्णश्वाप्पपराजित:
kṛcchreṇaiva tu tāṃ pārtho govinde viniveśitām | saṃjahāra tato dṛṣṭiṃ kṛṣṇaś cāpy aparājitaḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: Chỉ với nỗ lực lớn lao, Pārtha (Arjuna) mới rút được ánh nhìn vốn dán chặt vào Govinda (Kṛṣṇa). Và chính Kṛṣṇa nữa—đấng bất khả chiến bại—cũng ở trong cảnh ngộ ấy, khó lòng ngoảnh đi. Cảnh này làm nổi bật chiều sâu gắn bó của họ: ngay cả bậc hùng mạnh nhất cũng có lúc bị khuất phục, không phải bởi kẻ thù, mà bởi tình thương, bổn phận và nỗi đau chia biệt.
