Brahmopadeśa: Adhipatitva-kathana, Dharma-lakṣaṇa, and Kṣetra–Kṣetrajña Viveka

Book 14, Chapter 43

Educational Q&A

Liberation is described as transcending identification with all guṇas—even sattva—after one’s दोष (impurities) are exhausted; then one abides in/attains the pure Kṣetrajña, the Supreme Self.

Vāyudeva is instructing the listener on the final stage of spiritual attainment: the dharma-knower, purified of faults, renounces attachment to mental qualities and realizes entry into the pure nature of the Kṣetrajña (Paramātman).
