Book 14, Chapter 43
धर्मकामाश्ष राजानो ब्राह्मणा धर्मसेतव: । तस्माद् राजा द्विजातीनां प्रयतेत सम रक्षणे
dharmakāmāś ca rājāno brāhmaṇā dharmasetavaḥ | tasmād rājā dvijātīnāṃ prayateta sadā rakṣaṇe ||
Vāyu nói: “Các bậc quân vương phải tận tâm với dharma và những mục đích chính đáng; còn các brāhmaṇa chính là chiếc cầu nâng đỡ dharma. Vì thế, nhà vua phải luôn gắng sức bảo hộ những người ‘sinh hai lần’; bảo vệ họ tức là bảo vệ sự tiếp nối của dharma.”
