Adhyāya 40: Brahmā on Mahān (The Great Principle) and the All-Pervading Puruṣa
विमुक्ता: सर्व एवैते महत्त्वमुपयान्त्युत । आत्मनो महतो वेद य: पुण्यां गतिमुत्तमाम्,संसारमें जो कोई भी मनुष्य बुद्धिमान, सद्भाव-परायण, ध्यानी, नित्य योगी, सत्यप्रतिज्ञ, जितेन्द्रिय, ज्ञानवान् लोभहीन, क्रोधको जीतनेवाले, प्रसन्नचित्त, धीर तथा ममता और अहंकारसे रहित हैं, वे सब मुक्त होकर परमात्माको प्राप्त होते हैं। जो सर्वश्रेष्ठ परमात्माकी महिमाको जानता है, उसे पुण्यदायक उत्तम गति मिलती है
vimuktāḥ sarva evaite mahattvam upayānty uta | ātmano mahato veda yaḥ puṇyāṃ gatim uttamām ||
Thần Vāyu nói: Tất cả những người như thế, khi đã được giải thoát, quả thật đạt đến Đại Uy Nghiêm Tối Thượng. Ai thật sự biết uy lực và oai nghi của Đại Ngã (Đấng Tối Thượng) thì sẽ đến cảnh giới cao nhất, nơi công đức nâng đỡ.
